Common questions

How do hints work?

You get one free hint each day. Finishing the daily puzzle banks another, and every seventh day in a row banks three. A hint shows the next optimal fold, not the whole solution.

I am stuck and the game says there is no way to the goal

Fold can prove when a puzzle can no longer be solved, and it tells you rather than letting you fold on in vain. You can keep folding if you want to, but undo is free and unlimited — step back and try another line.

Can I get my progress back after reinstalling?

Unfortunately not. Progress lives only on your device and there is no account system, so reinstalling or clearing app data starts you over.

Is a level actually impossible?

Every level in Fold has been verified by the game's own solver, which knows the exact minimum number of folds for each one. If a level truly cannot be solved, that is a bug worth reporting — please email us the level number.
